The Drama:
A refreshing college-based drama that doesn’t break your heart, well at least Gu Wei Yi won’t. You can say goodbye to second male lead syndrome with this drama! Our male lead is a shining star! Which is why this drama’s highly recommended by yours truly.
Si Tu Mo (Fair Xing) our female lead is majoring in accounting, while Gu Wei Yi (Lin Yi) is majoring in physics and they end up meeting each other due to the series of multiple unfortunate events. Wei Yi goes from not wanting to sit next to Si Tu Mo, to scheming a way not to leave her side. Did I mention they end up living together? That’s right; our Female lead gets into some trouble when she tries to balance school and work but needs to meet in the middle, Literally. That is where the hopeless love seems to met its sparks. Si Tu Mo is unlike most female leads. She is rational, quick-witted, and does not settle. She listens to her mind more than her heart. You will find yourself loving this female lead who chases her dreams and chases away men who don’t deserve her regardless of her aching heart. That brings me to the second lead Fu Pei. Oh, how you will dislike this second lead. Unfortunately, he is my least favorite character in this drama next to Si Tu Mo’s BFF Wang Shang. You’ll have to watch the drama to understand this part.

Reasons to love this dram:
Simple. The male lead never hides his own love for the female lead. Not once does he seem embarrassed to confess or admit his love to her regardless of who asks. Perhaps a bit hesitant to tell our female lead, but it becomes clear exactly why he is waiting for the perfect moment. He does not want to rush our female lead while she is vulnerable and never leaves her side. Our female lead shines so brightly in this drama. She is a girl who knows her worth and weighs what exactly went down. She knows what she wants and doesn’t take her long to figure out a person’s true colors.

One tiny dislike I have regarding the drama is the extra ending story. I think it would have been great without the clips of their child. My only reason is that I don’t feel how they acted towards their kid was true to their characters, nor did it add any substance. If anything, it added confusion in his role of importance.
9.5/10 drama for me! It’s truly a naturally paced love story, and I want to watch this again!

I want to add that I love them both as actors. They have gone on to making some of the best C-dramas in 2020 and 2021!
I just started this and I’m loving it so far! It’s so funny and relatable.
